Posted on behalf of the Management, XL Results Foundation Pte Ltd:

This post is in response to the blog by Ste Andreassen (http://rogerhamiltonexposed.wordpress.com/2006/09/12/roger-hamilton-lies-to-my-face/) Our attempts to post a response on his blog have been blocked, as have half the other replies that people have tried to post. The ones that have been posted with further defamatory content include a number that ‘claim’ to be XL Life Members, but we do not have any members with those names. Below is our response to each of Ste Andreassen’s claims:

1. “I wanted to ask some questions then, but he said he’d answer any questions at the back of the room. I finally got to ask him some questions.”

Ste Andreassen did meet Roger Hamilton, but the conversation did not take place as Andreassen claims. It was far shorter and in far less detail than he described. In any event the response to the blogs claims are:

2. “He denied all of the following. Is it true that you have been investigated, and interviewed, by the Singapore Commercial Affairs Department (CAD), and that complaints have been made to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore and the Fair Trading Association, Canberra, Australia? Straight denial.”

None of these organisations has conducted any investigation of XL Results Foundation or Roger Hamilton to our knowledge. Following these claims, we have contact them and been told that should there be any investigation on any company, it would be carried out with the knowledge of the company.

3. “Your accounts for 2004 show an income of SGD 1.3m. SGD 800,000 was accounted for by salaries, expenses, organisation of seminars etc. SGD 400,000 was put into an offshore account in the British Virgin Islands.”

These numbers are all entirely fictitious. No money has ever been transferred from XL Results Foundation to any offshore account in the British Virgin Islands. Audited accounts from launch to 2006 are published here:

http://www.mloh.biz/XLRF.pdf

4. “No donation was made to charity, despite a clear promise on your materials, including your website, that “10% of all revenue from XL Results Foundation is contributed to good causes in each country as part of the foundations’ global vision of World Wide Wealth: Making Money to Give Away. He said that the 10% meant 10% of profits, until I showed him the above from the Internet Archive. He then stated that they would soon be donating USD 25,000,000 to charities. Considering that they have signed approx. 2,000 life members at USD 5,000 (a total of USD 10,000,000) it is hard to see where the $25m figure comes from.”

This is entirely false. Donations have been made on a regular basis as our commitment as a social enterprise as part of the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation Program, where at least 10% of profits are donated to charity each year. These are reflected in our audited accounts and listed here:

http://www.resultsfoundation.com/content/view/425/264/

The claim of “10% of revenue” instead of “10% of profits” was posted by the ex-editor of XL Magazine, on our old website in 2003 before her departure from the company. It was taken down as soon as it came to our attention as the post is erroneous. A net revenue policy is not a policy we endorse or encourage other social enterprises to follow. Our philosophy on social enterprise is clearly expressed here:

http://www.resultsfoundation.com/enews-0606/

Our vision and commitment as an organisation to charities and world wide wealth is clearly expressed here:

http://www.resultsfoundation.com/content/view/39/59/

5. “Your accounts for 2005 were supposed to be filed in June 2006, but have not been filed yet. Straight denial.”

This is also entirely false. All audited accounts have been filed and are up to date.

6. “More than 40 members of XL Results Foundation are involved in a petition organised by Ann Phua, President of the Singapore Business Women’s Association in Singapore to get refunds, claiming that they have been cheated out of between USD 5,000 to 9,000. At first he tried to deny that Ann Phua existed. When I explained that I had spoken to Ann this morning, he denied that Ann had a list of 40+ people.”

Roger Hamilton and the board have never denied Ann Phua exists. In fact, members of the board have met Ann Phua to investigate this claim that there are 40 members involved in a petition as we have never had any such claim made by any of our members. We made it clear to Ann Phua that we, like most other companies, would welcome the opportunity to address any such concerns if they exist. However, to date Ann Phua has failed to provide us with any details of any such petition, or members of any such petition. We pride ourselves in what we do, and should any one have any issue with the service we provide we will be the first to address it.

7. “Your company has been registered with a paid-up share capital of SGD 10,000 (approx £3,500), which is the amount you would be liable for if the company folded. The company is a private company, with no board of directors. The two named directors are yourself and…He claimed that as of today he was the sole director. I pressed him on who the other director was before today. He said it was Dave Rogers. I told him that this was a lie, and that Dave Rogers had never been a director. He started to look sheepish then (other people were watching our exchange), eventually he named a name. “And this person is…”. Family. “Your mother?”. Yes.”

Again, this is entirely false. The company was first incorporated in November 2001 with two directors, Roger Hamilton and Dave Rogers. Singapore subsequently changed the requirements for a private limited company to one director and one company secretary and today those are Roger Hamilton and Margaret Loh. Margaret Loh is not Roger Hamilton’s mother.

8. “I was quite pleased that he knew who I am, though less pleased that he has been told lies by Thomas Power about why I was kicked out of Ecademy. I got kicked out of Ecademy for asking too many awkward questions about BlackStar. Thomas Power has been telling people I was kicked out because of things which happened AFTER I had been kicked out.”

It is our understanding that Ste Andreassen was arrested by the UK police after being banned from Ecademy, and a Google search of his name will provide a vivid picture of the extent to which he has gone in creating hate-sites against the company.

While we are not making judgment on Ste Andreassen, we do ask any reader to take note of the facts that we have provided. We would also point out that the claims Ste Andreassen has made are defamatory and we reserve our right to legal redress.

Sincerely, XL Results Foundation

NB: As at 12th October 2006, there has been a total of 31 responses to Ste Andreassen’s blog, of which he has blocked 14 and allowed 17 through. Our belief is that the responses from “Alex”, “Andrew”, “Lee”, “Richard”, “Dillon Hunt”, “Suzanna”, “Dave”, “Angela”, “Alfred” and “Brett” (ie. The last 10 posts Ste has allowed through) are all posted by the same person. The claims of them being our Life Members are false as we do not have members under the names of those claimants. The claim of being “Brett King” is false and Brett King has emailed to confirm this. We would love to stand corrected on our belief. In the meantime, please take the blog responses with a bucket of salt.
